Legendary Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to hospital again 10 days after his release. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of PD Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai on Tuesday due to shortness of breath.
Dilip Kumar's family friend Basir Khan told Prothom Alo's Mumbai correspondent on Wednesday that Dilip Kumar's condition is now stable.
He has been kept in ICU. As he got older and his health deteriorated, it was decided to keep him under the care of his family. Basir Khan said, 'Physically, Dilip Saheb was feeling very weak for a few days. We decided to take him to the hospital considering his age. Basir Khan said that the process of extracting water from Dilip Kumar's lungs has started since yesterday. About 350 ml of water has been extracted from Dilip Kumar's lungs. He is undergoing treatment under the supervision of doctors Nitin Gokhale and Jalil Parkar.
Earlier this month, Dilip Kumar was admitted to the same hospital. He had been suffering from shortness of breath for several days. He was treated under Jalil Parkar and Nitin Gokhale. I also had to give oxygen. At the end of the treatment, he was taken home.
